Hi Charles! I've been reading Ashcan Rantings for a while now, but as a fellow Okkervil River fan (and Charlestonian), I absolutely had to comment and ask: are you going to the show in Chapel Hill? I'm debating it, but I don't want to go by myself. I don't know if you've seen them live before, but I personally think they're the best live band in America right now. Their songs really writhe and bleed and come to life on stage...anyway, if you (and your wife) are interested in carpooling to Chapel Hill to see Okkervil, I'd love to try to carpool, if y'all are interested in going!
ReplyDeleteI wish we could go, but Leah and I have used nearly all our vacation time for the year. It's a shame too, because the Cat's Cradle is a great venue, and I love Chapel Hill (I went to UNC).
